Bristol, TN – The Lady Crusader soccer team lost the final game of its four-game road trip 2-0 to King College on Wednesday night.
The Tornado (5-6, 4-3 in conference) scored a late first half goal in the 44th minute to build a half time lead. King’s second goal came in the 85th minute of play to secure the win.
The Lady Crusaders were without their top two scorers in Jade Salle and Noelle Beasley as well as starting defender Erin McLure and keeper Regina Ibanga.
King outshot North Greenville 20-6 in the contest as freshman keeper Taylor Kelley recorded six saves in her first career start.
“I think this is something the team can respond to and us for improvement in our next game,” said head coach Jesse McCormick.
The Lady Crusaders (4-7-1, 3-5-1) will look to end their two-game losing skid when they host Converse College on October 19 at 7 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
