GAMEDAY CENTRAL: NGU VS. TUSCULUM COLLEGE
September 15, 2012

Despite opening the season with two straight losses, there is reason for optimism as the Crusader football team begins play against South Atlantic Conference members beginning with Tusculum College on Saturday, Sept. 15 in Greeneville, Tenn.
Last week against Division I-AA opponent Tennessee Tech, the offense found some momentum, scoring 14 points and putting up 324 yards of total offense, led by freshman running back Darius Paulk who amassed 120 yards on the ground on 20 carries.
In Week 3, the Crusaders will travel to Greeneville, Tenn. to take on Tusculum College in a rematch of last year's defensive struggle. In the most recent matchup, the Crusaders down the Pioneers 27-7 on Sept. 17 in Tigerville.
Tusculum is also looking for their first win of the season as their high powered offense has failed to deliver against Urbana and West Georgia. Pioneer quarterback Bo Cordell has recorded 893 yard through the air and seven touchdowns in just two games played. Cordell's favorite receiver is junior Xzanvion Smith, who has hauled in 23 receptions for 344 yards and two touchdowns.
The game is scheduled for Saturday night at 6:00 p.m., in Greeneville, Tennessee. Fans unable to make the trip can follow the game in a variety of ways. Tusculum will provide a live video, audio, and stats feed. There will also be a live twitter feed to keep fans updated, provided by North Greenville Sports Information as well as live audio provided by North Greenville's radio station 95.5 The Vibe.
