GAMENOTES: NORTH GREENVILLE VS. CARSON NEWMAN

“On The Road Again”…The North Greenville football team has become accustomed to bus rides and hotel rooms as the Crusaders have played four of their first six games in a different stadium. Week seven will be no different for NGU as the Crusaders board the buses for a third trip to Tennessee, this time to take on the Eagles of Carson Newman College.

The Crusaders earned their first win of the 2012 season last Saturday with a 27-17 decision over Newberry College. North Greenville has now won the last two meetings between the two schools.  The Crusaders racked up 428 yards of total offense while holding Newberry to just 291total. NGU’s also added a touchdown when AJ Jones intercepted a Newberry pass and took it back 27 yards for a touchdown.
