Women's Golf Finishes 6th In NCCAA Nationals

Panama City Beach, FL – The North Greenville University women’s golf team concluded the Fall portion of its 2012-12 season with a 6th place finish in the NCCAA National Championships.
Dallas Baptist was earned the team title after a two-round score of 304-309-613 to finish 16 strokes ahead of runner up Oklahoma Christian (312-317-629). Shorter University (322-316-638) finished in third place overall, while Point Loma Nazarene (330-322-652) and Bethel (IN) (330-322-652) tied for fourth place, just 12 strokes ahead of the Crusaders (340-326-666).
In the individual standings, Dallas Baptist’s Erin Barrington won the title with a total score of 73-72-145, while North Greenville’s Denise Shirley earned NCCAA All-American honors with a 5th place finish in the overall standings with a two-day total score of 78-78-156.
Anna Padgett tied for 25th overall with a score of 89-79-168 and Callie Taylor recorded a 27th place finish after shooting a total of 87-82-169. AnnaLeis Dibert (86-87-173) tied for 33rd and Lauren Childs finished 50th overall with a total of 104-102-206 to round out the individual scoring for North Greenville.
