Men's Golf Claims Fifth Place Finish In NCCAA Nationals

Panama City Beach, FL – The North Greenville University men’s golf team recorded its third Top 5 finish with a tie for 5th place overall in the NCCAA National Championship to end the Fall portion of the 2012-12 season.
Oklahoma Christian claimed the team title with an impressive three-day score of 280-280-278-838 to defeat second place Union University (TN) (290-303-297-890) by 52 strokes. Shorter University shot a three-round total of 303-300-293-896 to finish third as a team, while Southern Wesleyan University finished fourth with a total score of 303-294-300-897. North Greenville (313-296-297-906), Dallas Baptist (299-301-306-906) and Roberts Wesleyan University (293-303-310-906) all tied for fifth place in the team standings.
In the individual standings, Oklahoma Christian’s Vilhelm Bogstrand won the championship with a three-round score of 66-72-70-208. North Greenville’s Adam Black earned NCCAA All-American honors as he was the top finishing Crusaders, recording a total score of 74-71-68-213 to finish fourth overall.
Tucker MacDonald tied for 37th overall with a three-day total of 81-72-780-231, while Danny Dippel (79-78-75-232) and Joshua Hopwood (81-75-76-232) tied for 40th overall. Mac Bradley rounded out the individual scoring for the Crusaders with a 79-79-78-236 to finish tied for 49th place.
