Tigerville, SC – In the first game of a six-game home stand, the North Greenville JV soccer team lost its mid-week matchup with Truett McConnell College 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Pepsi Stadium.
The Eagles scored three first half goals in the 9th minute, 15th minute, and 32nd minute to take a 3-0 lead into the half.
Truett McConnell tacked on its fourth goal of the game in the 48th minute off a penalty kick before senior James Lobbestael recorded his second goal of the season on an assist from sophomore Julian Sanchez in the 55th minute of play.
The Crusaders outshot Truett McConnell 13-9 in the game as goalkeeper Andrew Duncan totaled two saves.
“The boys played well tonight,” said head coach Kyle Walden. “This was a very physical game but we kept our heads about us. I’m proud of the way we played tonight and I look forward to our matchups next week”
North Greenville (1-3-1) will continue its home stand next Friday against USC Lancaster at 6 p.m. in Tigerville.
