One of the best players to ever play NCAA Division II football, Andre Bernardi returns to his Alma Mater as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.
Bernardi starred as a Defensive End and Outside Linebacker in multiple schemes during his tenure at NGU despite playing for two different coaching staffs. Bernardi racked up 54 total tackles during his senior campaign. He was also credited with 20.5 tackles for a loss and 13.5 sacks, while forcing three fumbles. He tied the Division II all-time sack record for a career with 42 and broke the all-time tackles for a loss record with 78.5.
Bernardi earned the programs “Crusader Award” given to the player who exemplifies work ethic, tenacity, and leadership. He also garnered the programs “Iron Crusader Award” for his efforts in the weight room.
A native of Marietta, Georgia. Bernardi earned his degree in Sports Management from NGU this spring. He resides in Tigerville.
