Rachel Baer begins her first season as head coach of North Greenville University women's soccer and her second as a member of the coaching staff. 

Baer also completed her second straight successful pro-am season with the Charlotte Lady Eagles, part of the W-League of the United Soccer Leagues (USL).

Baer, a Marietta, Georgia native, played soccer at Harrison High School where she was named the 2005 Cobb County/Marietta Daily Journal Female Soccer Player of the Year. Baer played three seasons of NCAA Divison-1 soccer at UNC Charlotte before transferring to Kennesaw State University (NCAA Division-1) in 2008. While at KSU, Baer proved herself a formidable player, leading the Owls in goal scoring, and leading the Atlantic Sun Conference in points, goals, shots, shots on goal and game winning goals for the 2008 season. Baer was also named to the 2008 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team, received Atlantic Sun First Team All-Conference honors, and was selected to the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team. Baer was also named the 2008-2009 Kennesaw State University Female Athlete of the Year.

Baer was also actively involved with Athletes in Action (the athletic division of Campus Crusade for Christ) throughout her college years. Through AIA she has been involved in multiple soccer mission trips overseas. Baer has internationally trained with the Paraguay and South African Women’s U17 and U20 National teams. She also trained with Sparta, the top women’s professional soccer team in the Czech Republic, as part of a 6-week sports mission trip with Athletes in Action in 2009.

Baer has been a youth soccer coach and individual/team trainer at Kennesaw Futbol Club in Kennesaw, GA for the past three years. She currently has her USSF coaching D license.

Baer graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2009.
