NGU BASKETBALLERS BOOHER, WRAY NAMED TO NABC ACADEMIC HONORS COURT
Tigerville, SC ---Kyler Booher, a senior from Covington, OH (Newton HS), and Jason Wray, a junior from Fayetteville, NC (Jack Britt HS), have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NAB C) Academic Honors Court it was announced by the organization in Kansas City, MO.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes significant academic abilities away from the basketball court, and in order to be selected, the student-athlete must meet high academic criteria which are, 1) be a junior or senior and a varsity player, 2) possess a cumulative 3.2 gpa or higher at the end of the year, 3) must have been at their current institution at least one year, and 4) be a member of an NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA school.
Booher maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average in his history major. He played in 25 games last season, starting three, and averaged 4.5 points and 2.9 rebounds. A tough defender, he was often called upon to guard the opponent’s top scorer. Wray, a biology major with a 3.6 grade point average, also played in 25 games with three starts and averaged 3.1 points and 1.1 rebounds. He played significant minutes for the Crusaders and had several games where he added key baskets to help NGU to the NCCAA South Regional Championship game. [+]
